We are an interdisciplinary research group at Chem@BIU with strong affiliations to industry.
We wish to to understand energetic materials at the most fundamental level, and make useful predictions to transform energetic materials’ safety, impact and responsiveness to meet global needs.
To achieve these goals, we develop new theory, models and simulation methods to discover and unlock key degrees of freedom. We usually like to build our own tools - enabling us to take a deep dive into structures, properties and functions across scales (hence our moto: “from molecule to mission!”).
We combine computational chemistry, continuum mechanics and artificial intelligence, and work closely with experimentalists to realize our vision.
Situated in the heart of Israel, we reside in Bar-Ilan University’s main campus at the wonderful green city of Ramat-Gan, a short distance from Israel’s tech-savvy Tel-Aviv metropolitan, and home to a national park, wild-life safari and the Sheba Medical Center.
