Uncertainty Quantification in Hot-Spot Ignition Model Parameters

The delicate balance between an ignition event or, alternatively, quenching of reaction rests upon an interplay between chemical, physical and material parameters of an energetic material. These parameters typically come from experimental measurements and each has an associated uncertainty (or error) to it. To what extent does this affect ignition? Can one observe ignition under conditions in which nominally the material should be safe? We use methods of uncertainty quantification to answer these questions based on our previous TMC hot-spot model.
